The laughing is a bit disrespectful, but the act does certainly make me smile. I would imagine some sleazy, pre-show MC is within eye-shot of the crowd and is doing something idiotic.
I just discovered this guy but I get the comparison. It was for the flip Wilson show so the audience at that time may not have known what to make of the act as it was somewhat strange. Or jay could be right
