Yes! MTA, wtf? New York City, wtf? I mean really, there's a point every two weeks where money is deducted from my paycheck for the greater good of the public. One could argue that the subway is quite possibly the greatest good for the public in NYC...hence my wtf!!!

Yeah, once something as simple, but dreadfully important as TRANSPORTATION goes downhill, shits gonna get smelly real quick.
I heard the problem is that the taxation that funds the MTA is based on property taxes, and revenues have basically plummeted.
so i guess we're getting bailed out...
