Soooo funny that you mentioned this. I was going to make a post about it, and how devastated I've been since I heard the news.

Your illustration captures my feeling perfectly... and it also reminds me of San Francisco 2000. HA!

Sorry for the lack of empathy there. It is sad to see a staple of America leave us...such as a glorious machine like the Pontiac Thunderbird or Trans Am...but that train's bind with glory was short lived on a dead end track, per foreign competition and stubborn American marketing and mindset. It's remarkable that it took us about 30 years to fully realize this.
