That's awesome, I know she'll have a blast. Tell her not to forget her tamborine roots... though that may not be the Family Swaggards, that's obviously what I'm referring to. ha!
She's the best tamborine player I've ever seen live. Any tambo player that can start at the back of the crowd and work there way to the stage while navigating thru people and keeping perfect rhythm is pretty goddamn awesome. I was pretty stoned that night but I could've sworn I saw her also bust open a maraca on stage as well.
WOW, two posts that having me rolling...Kimbo, congratulations and yes, Kudos to your Tamborine playing as well. Just the other day I was rehearsing with Emily and playing Kimborine (as I like to call it) on a track. Suddenly I found myself marching and thrusting out my arm as if I was a low ranking member of the Chinese Army.
Now, down to real meat, dissing BD in a public forum is not welcome, however, since you do have a great point and you are one of the coolest people I ever met, I will take your point at a Lennon type value..."love is the answer" and we do know that for sure.
When I think of Tambo playing I think of only two styles. Kim's tambo bashing, and Liam Gallagher playing his star shaped tambo as if he just doesn't give a shit.
