All We are Saying

Amazing. Sometimes I think about what John would be doing now, or about what he would think about all that is going on now.

A voice is only as good as the thoughts behind it. If only someone else in popular culture could speak so plain and with such beautiful eloquence.

fan-fucking-tastic video. Of course John sounds great, but I was mega impressed with illustrations.

I think you have to consider the nature at which one becomes a member of modern popular culture. A man of considerable artistic integrity, or even legitimate ideal, is not the same man that climbs a ladder of relentless compromise. I think its slightly contradictory to expect a figure of heroic proportions to pop his head out of the same fame chase that delivers our currently fated state of popular culture.

I'm sure many have tried and few have probably succeeded. But we don't believe them, and you know why? Because they're there . . . and you know it wasn't a free ride. I just don't think we're as dumb and insensitive as we like to think we are.

And yes, very fun, very sharp video. Good save!

Yea man, i'm now trying to remember where this came from, but fortunately it's got that credit shot at the end. The illustration is amazing, the direction. I've always thought music videos should be more like that (can anyone name some that flow in word picture association).

The simplicity and clarity of his perspective is surely missed in today's popular culture. There's a stark contrast between the few minutes of talk at this year's debate from any given candidate and the few minutes in a hotel room here with John, granted the circumstances are completely different.

Change it by changing yourself.
