This is a common to-do for most Americans but I have yet to go and I probably should.
Maybe I'm just a sucker for bright lights and free booze.
The dilemma is I am not sure which angle to approach Sin City: take my family, take a suitcase of drugs, take my autistic brother...

Well well... I hope you don't mind me sharing my two cents on all your Bucket List entries...but I would suggest traveling out West, acquiring or arranging a suitcase of drugs, then going to Vegas via car. Cross the Hoover Damn in the middle of summer, it's excruciatingly hot and shocking. Stay in old town Vegas...newer town Vegas IS exactly what you think it is. It's literally too big to walk through.
