These are acquinatances of mine, publishing their 3rd book with Three Rivers Press. It's about memories from bands across the USA. Their books tend to do pretty well, and get distribution at all the B&Ns and Borders, etc all over the US.
If you want, send them a great photo and band story, name drop me (say, who used to work for CT (redacted), or who used to work for Three RIvers Press), and you've got a decent shot of getting in. Not to mention getting on the blog.

Hey now! Whaddya say, Family Swaggards? I think given the story of the Swags, we could create a decent, entertaining eulogy for us. If you were in the band, you're greatly encouraged to comment on this post (or forever hold your peace).

In many a right minded late night sessions with Seger I've publicly decried my love of the Swaggards. I love late era Swags the most...when there were only true swags left in the band. Seger, Matt, Luke, Nat and wife, that's true swag. When tunes like "Nightmare on the street" and "Rolling Stoner" were first being born, when they were covering Neil Young, when the frontman's publicly drinking on stage. And the culmination of it all at the Chinese New Years...
i've always enjoyed the Ba'th Party comparisons . . . too much gold for one roof. now, whether that's a "disperse in sight of danger" or a "spread the inherent wealth" type of thing, i'm not entirely sure. i've actually plotted a few 'tall' tales on this subject before.
in terms of this particular project, i'm not so sure i'm willing to comply with the word "tried."
Touche, Nattical! I would say, if anything, we did reach "ROCKNESS" in a true sense of the word. Lord knows we were loud enough... I feel like there could be 4 or 5 different stories of how things went, and honestly, I'd love to hear all of them.
George Bush looks great with long hair... I'm going to miss him.
I completely encourage all stories

Enjoyed your idea for "Those Who Tried to Rock," and would like to participate. About how many words would you expect the write-ups to be? Thanks!
