So I'm over a year into Wilco's "Sky Blue Sky" and I still for the life of me can't let it go. I'd highly highly recommend it to anyone who doesn't have it. And if you can find it on vinyl more the better to you. I truly believe Wilco is the American Radiohead. They just choose to use americana as their avenue rather than brit-pop. Never the less have a listen and enjoy.
I really liked that documentry on made on these guys, that was good, but when I went and bought Yankee Foxtrot it just didn't do it for me. It seemed very boring. I'm sure some of their stuff is good, I know a decent amount of people who like 'em.
well, i'm still not sure what the "american radiohead" is really supposed to mean, i'd imagine you're commenting on a certain popularity / fan base. but if you're out for actual musical styling, or even relevant political tact, i'd suggest Guy's half of the entire Fugazi catalog. Now there's an American Rocknroll Band!
I dig this album big time. Yankee Hotel didn't really do it for me either and I'm in love with Tweedy's lyrics or voice, I think he chases a sound that intrigues me.

When i think of Brad I think of the expressions americana/brit-pop.
Right on! This is a great album; perhaps one of the better albums of last year.
